Greetings from Canada's northwest coast Rain Forest...

An Every Day Woman's Life

Did you put your winter coat away? I did. Yesterday, I took it out again! Did you get your taxes done? My neighbor had her taxes done last month. With her refund she's off for a month-long visit to her sister in Winnipeg! I'm just doing mine...

An Every Day Woman's Thoughts

GrandFather Sun is out and winter's grip is loosening but slowly. Still, my extended family's at the tail end of wedding plans set for the middle of next month...She's having seven, 7! bridesmaids in dresses with First Nations designs...I love going to weddings...

All winter I collect different sized canning jars for my summer food gathering efforts: salmon, berries, veggies. Summer's are always busy with food gathering. I thought I inherited the summer rush of food gathering from my Tsimpsian First Nations mother. Here it's from her mother, and her mother's mother before her, and her mother's mother before her too. Yup! It's in my genes...

Do you plan to cann up some food this summer? Are you going to a wedding? Whatever you plan to do, have fun. And especially, plan to be safe.

Warm regards, Bette.
